Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Ramunes Studio, where we provide expert bridal alterations to ensure your wedding dress fits flawlessly for your special day. Before proceeding with our services, please carefully review and agree to the following terms and conditions. By booking an appointment, you confirm acceptance of these terms.
 

1. Weight & Body Shape

  • It is essential to maintain your weight and body shape from the first fitting until the wedding day. Significant weight gain or loss may require additional alterations, incurring extra charges.

  • We reserve the right to decline alterations if a bride is actively losing weight at the first fitting. In such cases, we may reschedule a fitting closer to the wedding, subject to availability. If our schedule is full, we may recommend alternative seamstresses.

  • A quick turnaround fee of up to £150 applies for last-minute alterations due to weight changes.

  • We are not liable for any weight fluctuations after fittings or once the dress has been collected.

  • For record-keeping purposes, we document each fitting.
     

2. Alterations Process

  • We will only perform the alterations discussed and agreed upon during the consultation.

  • Any design changes or additional alterations beyond the initial agreement will incur additional charges, which will be communicated before proceeding.
     

3. Fittings & Appointments

  • Punctuality is essential. If you are more than 30 minutes late, your fitting will need to be rescheduled.

  • Missed fittings are chargeable and non-transferable. We require at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule an appointment.

  • If you are unwell on the day of your fitting, please notify us by 9 AM so we can allocate the slot to another client.
     

4. Payment Policy

  • 50% of the innital balance for alterations is due on the day of the first fitting to initiate the alterations process and the remaining ballance at the end.

  • Accepted payment methods: Card, Cash, and Bank Transfer (We do not accept American Express).
     

5. Timeline & Completion

  • We will work diligently to complete your alterations within the agreed timeline. Any unforeseen delays will be promptly communicated.
     

6. Quality Assurance & Liability

  • We take pride in our craftsmanship, but the final fit depends on the original design and fabric.

  • We handle your dress with the utmost care. However, we cannot be held responsible for any defects or weaknesses in the original fabric.

  • Once the dress leaves our premises, we assume no responsibility for damages caused by accident, misuse, or mishandling.

  • We recommend adding your wedding dress to your home insurance under 'special items' for protection.
     

7. Cancellation Policy

  • If you decide to cancel, please notify us within 24 hours.

  • Fitting fees are included in alteration price.

  • If work has already begun on your dress, the alterations balance is non-refundable.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service or entry at our discretion.
     

8. Dress Collection & Customer Responsibility

  • The dress will not leave our studio unless both parties are satisfied with the alterations.

  • Once collected, the dress is no longer our responsibility.

  • We recommend handling and storing your dress carefully to prevent damage.
